All newborn babies are required by the State to get tested for some rare disorders before they leave hospital.  Babies with these disorders may look healthy at birth.  Serious problems can be prevented if we find out about these right away.  Few drops of blood from the heel of your baby is tested.  Some may require retesting to confirm.  To find out more:
