Our Practice

Metro OBGYN is a dynamic, comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology practice delivering high-quality individualized care for our patients. Our women’s health specialists provide top-tier medical care, including examination, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Our doctors specialize in all areas of contemporary women’s health, preventive medicine, menopause management, urinary incontinence, and pelvic pain. We are committed to cutting-edge medical technology through our advanced robotic and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, urogynecological surgery, skin care, and in-house counseling.

Our Staff

Our practice is dedicated to a woman’s lifetime of health. All of our physicians have completed at least four years of special training after medical school, are board certified, and take courses regularly to keep up with the latest advances in women’s care. Dr. Clubb enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her husband is a physician as well, and they are kept busy with two sons and a daughter. She spends her free time with her family and likes to run and explore the outdoors. Dr. Clubb adds, “I am honored and humbled to care for my patients and I strive to treat them as I would my own family. I feel committed to helping all of my patients achieve optimal emotional and physical health.”

Dr. Benjamin began working together with Dr. Bayram in 1991, nurturing a growing practice that would become Metro Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1993, Dr. Benjamin became the first physician at Huron Valley-Sinai to perform endometrial ablation for excessive uterine bleeding (a less invasive alternative to a hysterectomy). He earned recognition for “Teaching Physician of the Year” in 1985 at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and “Physician of the Year” in 2005 at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital for “exemplary service to the hospital and community.”  Dr. Benjamin is the first in the state to perform the Sonata procedure, a minimally invasive option for fibroid treatment. He is the current Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Bayram received his medical degree from the University of Istanbul in 1971. He moved to Detroit shortly afterward to complete his internship and residency at Harper-Grace Hospital and has been a Michigander ever since. He has accumulated an impressive list of accolades while also taking time out to teach residents at Wayne State University and medical students and residents at Michigan State University. He has served as Chief of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital since its inception. He also currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Huron Valley-Sinai as its Chairman.

Dr. Arwani, a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist, brings a wealth of experience in general obstetrics, gynecology, and training in robotic-assisted surgeries. A graduate of the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Syria, she further honed her skills through a distinguished residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, PA, earning board certification in Internal Medicine. Her commitment to healthcare excellence led her to serve as Chief Resident post-Internal Medicine Residency.

Driven by a passion for women’s health, Dr. Arwani pursued and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and has received recognition for her outstanding teaching, including the esteemed Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is fluent in both English and Arabic. Dr. Arwani is dedicated not only to her profession but also to her role as a loving parent, cherishing moments with her three children.

Dr. Asaad was born and raised in Syria, where he completed his medical school at the University of Aleppo. After graduating in 2000, he did an internship at one of Aleppo hospitals before moving to the States to continue his medical education. After finishing a year of preliminary general surgery residency at Huron Hospital (Cleveland Clinic Health System) in Cleveland, Dr. Asaad joined Wayne State University in Detroit to complete his residency on OB/GYN. Since finishing his residency in 2008, Dr. Asaad has been in private practice with the Hutzel Women Health Specialists (HWHS). Dr. Asaad has a great passion towards teaching residents and medical students. He holds faculty appointments (Clinical Assistant Professor) at both Wayne State and Michigan State Universities. He is experienced in robotic/minimally invasive and pelvic floor surgery. He has been with Metro OB/GYN since 2018.

Dr. Kean graduated Michigan State University in 1998 and specializes in adolescent gynecology, prevention and early detection of breast cancer, and of course, obstetrics. Dr. Kean spends most of her time outside of the office chasing her two young daughters around. When she gets a chance, you can find her water-skiing in the summer and hitting the slopes in the winter.

Dr. Malayev received both her medical degree and public health degree from Nova Southeastern University in sunny Fort Lauderdale. She returned home to Michigan to complete her residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, in Pontiac, MI. There, she was involved in teaching medical students from all over the country, and even won a teaching award. She did several research projects relating to maternal wellbeing, and worked to improve access to prenatal care in the medically under-served community. She’s experienced with minimally invasive and DaVinci assisted surgery. She has been with the practice since August 2016, and is an active mother of two children.

Claire Hogan is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has worked in Women’s and Reproductive Health for over a decade. Her emphasis encompasses providing care for adolescents and adults in areas of stress, transition, grief, infertility, perinatal and postpartum adjustment, depression, anxiety, medical diagnosis and more. You’ll notice a friendly new face at our front desk! Lindsey enjoys coaching soccer for Hartland Liverpool FC-IA. She has always been into sports and loves playing and watching them, especially soccer and hockey. When you don’t see her in the office, she might be traveling! Lindsey loves to vacation, particularly anywhere with island vibes like Hawaii, Aruba, or St. Thomas.

Jen has been a sonographer for 16 years. Prior to joining Metro, she worked for Henry Ford and Infinity Primary Care. She’s been with us since 2021, and has adapted well to our busy practice! Jen is a busy mother of five, and when she’s not at work, she’s traveling and spending time with her family.

Nadine has been working in health care for 15 years in a myriad of roles. She came to Metro in 2016 where she has worked as a medical assistant and is our head coordinator for long-term reversible contraception, like IUDs and other implantable devices. She appreciates playing an active role in women’s health advocacy and empowering women to take charge in their wellness journeys.

Donna Fox started at Metro in 1993, and has had a variety of roles within the practice. Currently, she is our head of surgical scheduling. She helps out at the front desk or as a medical assistant as well! She is also involved with nonprofits that serve and promote awareness within the Autistic community. Her favorite hobbies include spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.

Nancy has been with Metro since April 1990 doing OB/GYN ultrasounds, having first become experienced in ultrasound technology in 1980. She has worked with Dr. Bayram as far back as 1977 at Grace Hospital. In her free time, she and her husband Tom love to travel and spend time with their family and friends.

After obtaining her RN degree in 1984, Carol has been involved with the doctors that comprise Metro OB/GYN in one way or another. After going through skin rejuvenation herself in 2001, she decided to begin her own training, with a specialty in Laser rejuvenation, and merged her practice with Metro OB/GYN in 2003. An avid reader, Carol Maurer also enjoys traveling with her husband Bob and spending time with her grandsons Maxwell and Miles.

Andrea Reid works at the front desk at Metro. She enjoys spending time with her family most of all. She has 21 year old twins, and an almost 18 year old, and a wonderful husband! In her spare time, she loves to read and spend time with her border collie, Lacey.

Insurances Accepted

Metro OB/GYN participates with many different PPO and HMO plans as well as accepting traditional indemnity insurance. We participate with Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Priority Health, and most major health insurance providers.

For plans in which we do not participate, we are more than happy to assist patients in completing claim forms so they can be reimbursed appropriately. If you are not sure about our provider status with your insurance company, please check with your insurance company or with our business office.

A full time billing and accounts representative is available to answer any questions you may have regarding insurance issues and reimbursement. Payment for non-covered service and co-pays for covered service is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.

Patient Fees

While fees vary based on the services provided, Metro OB/GYN’s fees consistently rank below national averages and are extremely competitive in the local market. (Please note that hospital, radiological and laboratory fees are billed separately and are not always included with your physician’s fees.)
