Dr. Benjamin began working together with Dr. Bayram in 1991, nurturing a growing practice that would become Metro Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1993, Dr. Benjamin became the first physician at Huron Valley-Sinai to perform endometrial ablation for excessive uterine bleeding (a less invasive alternative to a hysterectomy). He earned recognition for “Teaching Physician of the Year” in 1985 at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and “Physician of the Year” in 2005 at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital for “exemplary service to the hospital and community.” Dr. Benjamin is the first in the state to perform the Sonata procedure, a minimally invasive option for fibroid treatment. He is the current Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.
