How Laser Treatments Work

During treatment, lasers target numerous hair follicles with pulses of light. Each laser pulse lasts for a fraction of a second as the energy heats and destroys the hair follicle, preventing regrowth.

What to Expect During Treatment

Our experienced skincare technicians methodically treat one area at a time, so total treatment time varies depending on the size of the area, ranging from 10 minutes to over an hour. 

Some patients experience mild discomfort, like tiny warm pinpricks. Slight redness and swelling immediately after treatment is normal and generally fades within 1-2 days with ice packs and anti-inflammatories.

Noticing and Maximizing Treatment Results

Many of our patients begin noticing first results around three weeks, although maximum results require multiple treatments, ranging between four and 16 weeks apart, depending on your hair growth and treatment plan. Hair from the treated areas will begin to gradually fall out in patches; these hair-free patches increase in size with each session.
