Dr. Asaad was born and raised in Syria, where he completed his medical school at the University of Aleppo. After graduating in 2000, he did an internship at one of Aleppo hospitals before moving to the States to continue his medical education. After finishing a year of preliminary general surgery residency at Huron Hospital (Cleveland Clinic Health System) in Cleveland, Dr. Asaad joined Wayne State University in Detroit to complete his residency on OB/GYN. Since finishing his residency in 2008, Dr. Asaad has been in private practice with the Hutzel Women Health Specialists (HWHS). Dr. Asaad has a great passion towards teaching residents and medical students. He holds faculty appointments (Clinical Assistant Professor) at both Wayne State and Michigan State Universities. He is experienced in robotic/minimally invasive and pelvic floor surgery. He has been with Metro OB/GYN since 2018.
Dr. Bayram received his medical degree from the University of Istanbul in 1971. He moved to Detroit shortly afterward to complete his internship and residency at Harper-Grace Hospital and has been a Michigander ever since. He has accumulated an impressive list of accolades while also taking time out to teach residents at Wayne State University and medical students and residents at Michigan State University. He has served as Chief of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital since its inception. He also currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Huron Valley-Sinai as its Chairman.
Dr. Benjamin began working together with Dr. Bayram in 1991, nurturing a growing practice that would become Metro Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1993, Dr. Benjamin became the first physician at Huron Valley-Sinai to perform endometrial ablation for excessive uterine bleeding (a less invasive alternative to a hysterectomy). He earned recognition for “Teaching Physician of the Year” in 1985 at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and “Physician of the Year” in 2005 at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital for “exemplary service to the hospital and community.” Dr. Benjamin is the first in the state to perform the Sonata procedure, a minimally invasive option for fibroid treatment. He is the current Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Clubb enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her husband is a physician as well, and they are kept busy with two sons and a daughter. She spends her free time with her family and likes to run and explore the outdoors. Dr. Clubb adds, “I am honored and humbled to care for my patients and I strive to treat them as I would my own family. I feel committed to helping all of my patients achieve optimal emotional and physical health.”
Dr. Kean graduated Michigan State University in 1998 and specializes in adolescent gynecology, prevention and early detection of breast cancer, and of course, obstetrics. Dr. Kean spends most of her time outside of the office chasing her two young daughters around. When she gets a chance, you can find her water-skiing in the summer and hitting the slopes in the winter.
Dr. Malayev received both her medical degree and public health degree from Nova Southeastern University in sunny Fort Lauderdale. She returned home to Michigan to complete her residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, in Pontiac, MI. There, she was involved in teaching medical students from all over the country, and even won a teaching award. She did several research projects relating to maternal wellbeing, and worked to improve access to prenatal care in the medically under-served community. She’s experienced with minimally invasive and DaVinci assisted surgery. She has been with the practice since August 2016, and is an active mother of two children.
